CAMPODOGLIO’S DISTRICT IS SITUATED BETWEEN BELLAVISTA AND MALPASSO LANES AND ENDS WITH THE CASTLE WALL ON TOP OF VALLEREA.

THE DISTRICT WAS BORN IN THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY, THE FIRST HOMES WERE BUILT AROUND AN OLD OIL MILL.

NOWADAYS A LITTLE ROAD REMIND THE MILL , HIS NAME IS MONTANO’S ROAD INDEED, OR OIL MILL FROM THE OLD LATIN WORD MOLENDIUM. THIS WAS A PERFECT POSITION FOR THE OIL MILLS BECAUSE A SWARFS FLOWED DIRECTLY ALONG A SLOPE OF VALLEREA. HERE AN OLD TOWER USED TO SIGHT THE BRIGANDS OVERHANGS THE VALLEY. 

THE LAST STRETCH OF THE CASTLE WALL IS MAGNIFICENT,BUILT ON ROCK OF VALLEREA, IS A LABIRINTH OF GORGES, DUNGEONS AND SMALL TUNNELS BETWEEN FIG TREES, ELDERS AND POMEGRANATES.

THE WALL DIED AT THE OLD HOSPITAL’S DISTRICT WHERE IS AN ANOTHER ANCIENT TOWER WITH A LOOPHOLE. FOLLOW THE OLD OLMO’S MAIN GATE OPENED UNTIL AT THE EIGHTEENTH CENTURY THAT LIES FURTHER ON.
